As I was on my way to work this morning I noticed that I needed to reduce my speed and maneuver through some tight traffic just to pass a Dunkin Donuts. You might be asking what kind of problem I have with Dunkin Donuts. Am I not part of the America that "runs on Dunkin"? I assure you that this has nothing to do with such delicious commerce. Rather I have a problem with the fact so many people are slaves to the convenience of never having to make their own breakfast or morning beverage. More to the point, I was astonished that people seem to all go at the same time. It is at this point that I realized that this particular Dunkin Donuts had bought half of the road I was driving on and about 100 yards of its breakdown lane. What I don't like is having to avoid those who are waiting in line to enter the drive through rather than taking five minutes and have a bowl of cereal. Truly a sad sight for humanity.
I would also like to add that people might be more inclined to eat a bowl of cereal if it had some sort of coffee flavor to it. Another bowl of Coffee Loops, anyone? Its like Comedian Jerry Seinfeld said: "There's something thrilling about eating and drinking without looking."
